Pastor Ben is an Ordained Elder in The United Methodist Church with pastoral experiences in the Baguio Area, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan and Tarlac provinces of the Philippines. He later transferred to the California – Pacific Conference in 1970 and served churches in the Hawaii, Long Beach, Los Angeles, and Pasadena districts of the United Methodist Church. He retired from active ministry in 1999, after 42 years of faithful ministry. These days, Pastor Ben and his wife Gerda enjoy being amateur gardeners in Covina, California.
Born and raised in the town of Paniqui, he attended Central Institute of Technology in Tarlac, Philippines, and pursued post secondary education at Union Theological Seminary of the Philippines in Manila. Pastor Ben is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, and Claremont School of Theology where he earned his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees respectively.
